Criba is new and still going through Google's review process. Click
Advanced, then Continue to Criba.
Then Google will ask which permissions to allow.

If you untick the Gmail permission, Criba can't read your
school email — it will look like it's working but never find anything.
What Criba does with your email. Criba reads your email to find events.
It doesn't keep copies. It pulls out the date and the details, puts them in front of
you, and forgets the rest. The text is processed to do the extraction and isn't used to
train anything. It never sends email, never replies on your behalf, and never posts
anything. You can disconnect it at any time from your Google account's permissions

Criba reads your Gmail, PDFs and calendar feeds and adds anything with a date to your Google Calendar — colour-coded by person, and never a duplicate. Two quick steps and you're set.
Who do you plan around?
Add the people whose events you track — kids, family, friends. Each gets a colour, so events land already colour-coded. You can always add more later.
Where does their school email come from?
Add your school, team or club's email domain and Criba will always read their mail — even if Gmail files it as promotional. This is what makes sure a newsletter is never missed.
Don't know it? Skip — Criba learns senders as their mail arrives, and you can mark any sender "always read" from the review queue.

People & Rules
Add the people in your life and group them into circles — family, friends, work, whoever. Each person gets a distinct event colour on your calendar. The details under each person teach Criba whose event is whose: a grade lets it hold back school mail meant for other grades, and activity tags (a topic plus the sender’s domain) let it colour an event for the right person even when their name isn’t in the email. The more you fill in, the fewer grey, unattributed events you’ll see.

Rules
Criba learned these from what you’ve dismissed — each rule was created when you answered “yes” to a question after dismissing an event, and is written here in the words you agreed to. If Criba got one wrong, remove it with one click. Nothing is ever deleted by a rule: matching events still reach Review with the reason attached, one click from being added. Criba stopped adding
Criba paused these because you kept deleting them off your calendar — so it stopped adding more, on its own. Changed your mind? Start adding again turns the sender back on for future events. (Nothing here was deleted; paused events still reach Review with the reason.)
People you can add
Save the people you invite again and again — a co-parent, a grandparent. Each one becomes a tick box on every event, so you add them with one click instead of searching contacts. They get a normal Google Calendar invitation and can accept or decline.
